Asian Black Bean Sauce

2 tablespoons peanut oil
2 tablespoons fermented black beans, rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch

Heat a wok or heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil, the black beans and garlic. Stir-fry about 12 seconds. Add remaining ingredients and stir-fry about 1 minute or until sauce thickens.

  • 6 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix together the sugar, water, gelatin and cornstarch in a medium large saucepan. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat.
  2. Fold in the sliced strawberries, toss until well coated. Pour into the graham cracker crust.
  3. Chill until well set. Serve topped with whipped cream.
