Jambalaya Spaghetti Sauce

2 tablespoons butter
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
1 cup cooked shrimp
1 cup cooked sausage pieces
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes and liquid
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
Salt
1/2 cup chopped parsley

Melt butter in large pot; add onions and peppers. Saut? until onions are soft. Add remaining ingredients. Stir to blend. Bring to boil; reduce heat and cook uncovered 30 to 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot spaghetti.

Makes 8 servings.

  • 6 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix together the sugar, water, gelatin and cornstarch in a medium large saucepan. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat.
  2. Fold in the sliced strawberries, toss until well coated. Pour into the graham cracker crust.
  3. Chill until well set. Serve topped with whipped cream.
