Pearl Meatballs

3/4 cup sweet rice
1 pound ground lean pork
2 green onions, chopped
1 egg white
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sherry wine
2 tablespoons cornstarch
5 water chestnuts, chopped

Soak sweet rice overnight, drain and set aside.

Mix pork with remaining ingredients. Form balls about 1-inch in diameter. Roll meatballs in sweet rice until all are covered. Place balls in a steamer for 30 minutes.

  • 6 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix together the sugar, water, gelatin and cornstarch in a medium large saucepan. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat.
  2. Fold in the sliced strawberries, toss until well coated. Pour into the graham cracker crust.
  3. Chill until well set. Serve topped with whipped cream.
