Ribs and Kraut

Country-style ribs
3 pounds sauerkraut
3/4 cup chopped onion
6 to 8 whole cloves
1 1/2 cups chopped Granny Smith apples
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Pepper
1 1/2 cups chicken broth

Broil or slow cook country style ribs.

In a large roasting pan or casserole dish mix together sauerkraut, onion, cloves, apples, brown sugar, pepper and chicken broth.

Bury ribs at random in sauerkraut mixture. Pour chicken broth over top. Bake at 325 degrees F for 2 hours.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix together the sugar, water, gelatin and cornstarch in a medium large saucepan. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat.
  2. Fold in the sliced strawberries, toss until well coated. Pour into the graham cracker crust.
  3. Chill until well set. Serve topped with whipped cream.
