Maple Cream Pie

Filling
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2/3 cup maple syrup
Pinch salt

Topping
2 cups whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Pinch salt
Chopped pecans

Filling: Cook sweetened condensed milk, maple syrup and salt over low heat, stirring constantly until it bubbles in the middle. Pour into a baked pie shell. Chill for 1 hour.

Topping: Whip whipping cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and salt until thick. Pour on top of pie filling and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tablespoons strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix together the sugar, water, gelatin and cornstarch in a medium large saucepan. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat.
  2. Fold in the sliced strawberries, toss until well coated. Pour into the graham cracker crust.
  3. Chill until well set. Serve topped with whipped cream.
